Football Hosts Merrimack to Open 2026 Campaign

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware football team will host Merrimack on Thursday, September 3 at 7 p.m. on ESPN+ to open the 2026 season. This will be the first game between the two schools.

Alexa Michielsen scored the game-winning goal off of a rebound, helping field hockey defeat #18 Monmouth for its first ranked win since 2023. The fifth year recorded her tally on a putback with 12 minutes remaining in the third quarter, extending the lead to two for Delaware.
