University of Delaware Baseball Team Kicks Off Homecoming Weekend Festivities with 2012 Blue Hen Baseball Golf Outing at Back Creek Golf Club

The two-day event kicks off on Friday, October 19 at 12:00 p.m. when the 2012 Blue Hen Baseball Golf Outing that will be hosted at Back Creek Golf Club in Middletown, Del. The cost to join will be $150 d per golfer, who will enjoy a shotgun start to the outing with food and beverages following the round and prizes. Check-in for the golf outing will be at 11:00 a.m.

Registration is due by Friday, October 12, as sponsorship levels are available for individuals and/or business for the event, check out the registration link at the University of Delaware baseball team's home page.
During the weekend festivities the Blue Hens baseball team will be honoring a quartet of former UD ballplayers; John Brelus (1975-78), Bobby DiLullo (1977-80), Mike Miorelli (1977-81) and 200-hit club member Adam Tsakonas (2005-08). These four former members of the baseball team will be the alumni honorees at Saturday's UD Baseball Alumni & Friends Tailgate.
Prior to Saturday, October 20th's Delaware football game against Rhode Island, the baseball team will be hosting the UD Baseball Alumni & Friends tailgate. Fiends and family of the Delaware baseball program are encouraged to join in the fun tailgate located at the UD Hospitality Village in front of the Bob Carpenter Center expansion. The tailgate is free with food and beverages provided from 12:30-3:30 p.m.

The University of Delaware baseball team is in the middle of its Fall Ball schedule and will play two games in the month of October. On Sunday, October 21 at 1 p.m. the Blue Hens will host Wilmington University and on Friday, October 26 at 2:00 p.m. UD will host Hartford Community College as both games will be held at Bob Hannah Stadium.
