Delaware Downs Mount St. Mary?s, 3-2, at Elkton Indoor Courts

Nolan Gelman and Evan Andrews (at right) paired up for a 6-1, 6-2 doubles victory over Taylor Place and Mike Zabetakis to improve to 8-5 for the year.
Troy Beneck picked up another point for the Blue Hens (4-5) with a 6-3, 6-2 singles win against Matt Blake in the top flight. With the win, Beneck moved to 17-7 in singles action this season.
Mount St. Mary's (8-5) drew their first team point of the night as Austin Blake defeated Jason Derene in the No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-3.
Delaware's Adam Lawton sealed the win for the Blue Hens with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Adam Salam in No. 2 singles. Lawton's win was his third straight as he improves to 21-5 on the year.
UD returns to action Thursday as the Hens travel to Norfolk, Va. to take on Norfolk State at 2 p.m.
