Beneck and Lawton Win Top Singles Flights; Blue Hens Fall to William & Mary, 5-2

Senior Troy Beneck edged out Will Juggins by a score of 4-6, 6-2, 1-3 before retiring the match in top flight play. With the win, Beneck improved to 16-6 in No. 1 singles.
Adam Lawton (at right) picked up his fifth straight victory for the Blue Hens (4-7; 0-2 CAA) and the 40th of his career with a 6-0, 6-1 defeat of Ben Guthrie in No. 2 singles.
In the third flight, Nolan Gelman barely missed a win by falling, 7-5, 6-3, to Adrian Vodislav.
The Tribe (10-13; 3-0 CAA) took all three flights in doubles action to take the team point for the day.
Delaware makes a quick turnaround as it travels to Old Dominion for a 1 p.m. match Sunday.
