Lawton Wins Sixth Straight; Delaware Men's Tennis Falls, 5-2, to Old Dominion

Lawton edged out Jonas Kuwert by a mark of 6-1, 7-6 in No. 2 singles action. With the win, Lawton improved his season mark to 24-5 overall and 14-2 in the second flight for the Blue Hens (4-7).
In the top flight, Troy Beneck nearly made a comeback before falling to Albert Ochagavia, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.
Evan Andrews narrowly missed an individual win with a tight, 4-6, 6-1, 7-5 loss to Zvonimir Podvinski in No. 4 singles.
The Monarchs (12-5) swept doubles action to win the team point.
Delaware next takes on Drexel in Philadelphia at noon on April 6.
