UD Athletics Hall of Famer, Technology Expert Dave DeWalt to Speak at UD Commencement

NEWARK, Del. -- David G. DeWalt, a University of Delaware alumnus who has been named one of the 25 most influential executives in high technology, will speak at the University's 166th Commencement exercises, scheduled at 9 a.m., Saturday, May 30, in Delaware Stadium.
One of the finest wrestlers in Blue Hens history, DeWalt was inducted into the University of Delaware Athletics Hall of Fame in 2003.
He set virtually every school record during his career and became UD's first All-American in the sport when he placed seventh at the NCAA Championships at the University of Iowa in 1986.
He posted a career record of 101-9, was named the UD Alumni Association Senior Male Athlete of the Year in 1986, and later qualified for the Olympic Trials.
