Delaware Travels to Lehigh Tuesday for Third Meeting of Season with Mountain Hawks

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The University of Delaware baseball team will look to earn its third win over Lehigh this season as the Blue Hens face the Mountain Hawks Tuesday for a road non-league matchup.
The Blue Hens (13-12) come into Tuesday's game riding a three-game winning streak. The UD bats have powered the team of late as the Hens have scored at least eight runs in five straight games.
Jim ShermanZach Lopes has been the hottest hitter in the UD lineup of late as the senior captain has 12 hits, three doubles, and one home run in his last five games. Lopes has hit safely in 17 of the last 18 games.
Mike Garzillo leads the Mountain Hawks (12-20) in batting average (.402), hits (49), doubles (11), RBI (32), and his tied for the team-lead with four home runs.
Freshman right-hander John Fitz will start the game for Lehigh while Delaware will send lefty Kevin Milley to the mound for his first start of the season.
First pitch between the Blue Hens and Mountain Hawks is set for 3 p.m. at Lehigh Legacy Park.
HEN SCRATCHINGS
· Delaware defeated Lehigh 11-10 and 5-3 earlier this season with both games coming at Bob Hannah Stadium.
· Lehigh has won seven of nine games coming into Tuesday's contest and currently sits in third place in the Patriot League standings.
· UD leads the all-time series vs. Lehigh 61-18 and has won 10 straight over the Mountain Hawks.
· Lehigh last defeated UD in 1989.
· Diaz Nardo leads the Hens with four home runs and 22 RBI, while Norm Donkin has hit a team-high eight doubles.
· Delaware has a 3-7 road record this season.
· Milley made four starts as a freshman last season for the Blue Hens.
