Delaware Welcomes Local Rival Saint Joseph?s Wednesday

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware baseball team will return to the diamond Wednesday as the Blue Hens host Saint Joseph's at Bob Hannah Stadium.
Jim ShermanThe Hens (15-14) come into Wednesday's matchup off their most impressive win of the season as UD defeated No. 22 College of Charleston 10-8 Sunday. The victory was Delaware's first over a ranked opponent since defeating then-No. 9 Arizona State in 2011.
Saint Joseph's (13-19) came into this week's action with a .258 team-batting average, which is 10th in the Atlantic 10. The Hawks are led at the plate by John Brue, who leads the team with 40 hits, 23 runs scored, nine home runs, and 34 RBI.
After starting the season on the bench, Greg Olenski has become one of the hottest hitters in the Blue Hen lineups. The senior leads the team doubles with nine in just 12 starts and has a team-high .429 batting average. Olenski batted .545 with four RBI and three doubles in the Charleston series.
After a masterful performance last week against Lehigh, sophomore Kevin Milley will make his second start of the season Wednesday. Against Lehigh, lefty went seven innings, struck out seven, and did not allow an earned run to earn his third win of the season.
First pitch between the Blue Hens and Hawks is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Bob Hannah Stadium.

· Delaware leads the all-time series vs. St. Joseph's 46-23, but the Hawks defeated UD last season 5-1.
· Brock Niggebrugge is currently riding a seven-game hitting streak.
· Norm Donkin has posted a multi-hit game in seven of his last 10 contests.
· Zach Lopes has hit safely in 20 of the last 22 games.
· The Hawks pitching staff has compiled a 5.06 ERA.
· UD has won three straight games vs. non-conference opponents.
