Erik Antico Named General Manager of Blue Hens IMG Sports Marketing at Delaware

NEWARK, Del. -- Erik Antico has joined University of Delaware Athletics as general manager for the Blue Hens IMG Sports Marketing.
As general manager, Antico will provide sales leadership for the University of Delaware's sports property, conceptualize and execute sales and sponsorship programs, and oversee all fulfillment activity.
Antico, a native of Rye, N.Y., comes to Delaware after serving as IMG account executive at the University of Connecticut for the past three years. He also previously worked as an IMG sponsorship
sales representative for the Mid-American Conference in Cleveland, Ohio in 2011-12.

He enjoyed outstanding success as an account executive at Connecticut during his three years in Storrs, Conn. Most notably, Antico developed new business partnerships in healthcare, QSR and secondary ticketing, created the largest men's soccer sponsorship in the IMG College Portfolio, and pioneered the UConn Chevy Road to the Final Four campaign that was featured in the Sports Business Journal.
Antico earned his bachelor's degree in marketing and management from Georgetown University in 2011. While at Georgetown, he was a four-year letterwinner and a two-year starter for the Hoya football team as an offensive lineman. He was awarded the team's Spirit and Courage Award as a senior in 2010.
Currently, he serves as the class president of the Georgetown Gridiron Club and was a three-year member of the Georgetown Leadership Academy while in school.
A standout athlete at Rye (N.Y.) High School, Antico was a two-time All-State football player and led the team to the 2005 state title. He also was captain of the basketball team.
He is single and resides in Wilmington, Del.
