This week starts season two and we will now prepare for College of Charleston and UNCW this weekend. “SJU held a slim 9-8 advantage in shots and Delaware led by a 6-3 margin on corner kicks. The Hens were hurt by six offsides calls.
Natalie Zelenky led the Hens with three shots while Krista Trinidad came off the bench to take two shots. Goalkeeper Kailyn Rekos posted four saves but suffered the loss.
HEN SCRATCHINGS:
• The game closed out the non-league portion of Delaware's schedule. The Hens will open Colonial Athletic Association play next weekend when they travel to College of Charleston (Sept. 25) and UNCW (Sept. 27)
• Delaware suffered its third shutout loss of the season
• Zelenky was named to last week's Top Drawer National Team of the Week after scoring two goals in the Hens' 3-1 win over George Washington on Sunday
