The Blue Hens were held to under 50 points for the first time this season as Hofstra defeated Delaware, 58-49, in the CAA lid-lifter Sunday afternoon at the Mack Sports Complex. After logging a season-high 21 turnovers at Robert Morris last week, UD (5-7, 0-1 CAA) registered 19 turnovers in Sunday's loss to the Pride (10-2, 1-0 CAA). Erika Brown led all scorers with 15 points while Nicole Enabosi notched 11 points and seven rebounds. Makeda Nicholas earned her second start of the season and collected a season-best 10 points, eight rebounds, three blocked shots and three steals for the Blue Hens. Ashunae Durant, Kelly Loftus and Krystal Luciano each posted 13 points and seven for Hofstra. The Pride outrebounded Delaware, 39-38, including a 16-10 mark on the offensive board.
HEN SCRATCHINGS 🐔
· Delaware returns home after playing eight of its last nine games away from the Bob Carpenter Center. The Blue Hens will now host five of its next six contests at home.
· Both UD and UNCW are looking for their first CAA victories of the CAA. Delaware dropped its league opener, 58-49, at Hofstra while the Seahawks fell, 67-60, against Elon.
· Both teams have also lost five of their last six games.

SERIES INFORMATION
· Delaware leads the all-time series, 21-8, over UNCW.
· Last season, the two teams split the season series with each winning on its own home court.
· UNCW snapped a nine game losing streak to the Blue Hens with a 71-68 overtime win in Wilmington last February.
· UD holds a 10-3 advantage and has won four consecutive over the Seahawks in Newark.
· UNCW's last win at the Bob came on March 13, 2008 with a 59-56 win in the First Round of the CAA Tournament.
· The two teams complete the regular season series on Feb. 28 in Wilmington, N.C.
· Adell Harris (Wake Forest '02) is in her fourth season as the head coach of the Seahawks. Harris is 28-77 all-time at UNCW and 89-107 throughout her seven year career after previously serving in the same capacity at Tusculum College.
