Delaware fought back from an eight-point deficit in the fourth quarter Friday evening to pick up a 66-62 victory over the Tigers at Towson's SECU Arena. Towson held the momentum to start the final stanza before the Blue Hens rallied to outscore the Tigers, 14-2, in the remaining minutes of the contest. Makeda Nicholas tallied six straight points to bring the Hens within reach before Sadé Chatman and Erika Brown gave Delaware the lead for good with two minutes on the clock. Courtni Green led Delaware (11-10, 6-4 CAA) with 16 points while Brown notched 15 to go along with a team-best four assists. Nicholas added her fourth career double double with 10 points and 11 rebounds in addition to tying a career-high with four blocked shots while Hannah Jardine collected 10 points of her own. Dominique Johnson posted a game-high 23 points for the Tigers (5-16, 2-8 CAA) while Sianni Martin and Brittany Tarr each grabbed seven rebounds.

· Delaware hosts its annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day clinic prior to the game.
· UD will honor Mary Ann Hitchens, former Blue Hens coach and administrator, at the break between the first and second quarters for her induction into the NFHCA Hall of Fame and dedication to women's athletics at the University of Delaware.
· The Blue Hens snapped a two-game losing skid with a hard fought 66-62 win at Towson.
· The Hens are 13-5 all-time when playing on Super Bowl Sunday and have won eight consecutive games on the same day as the 'big game.'

SERIES INFORMATION
· Sunday is just the third-ever meeting between Delaware and Elon as the Phoenix completed their first season in the Colonial Athletic Association during the 2014-15 slate.
· Elon swept the Blue Hens last season and leads the all-time series, 2-0.
· The Phoenix picked up a 60-50 win at the Bob Carpenter Center on Jan. 4, 2015 in Elon's CAA debut.
· The maroon and gold then defeated the Hens, 77-76, in overtime at Elon on March 4, 2015.
· Charlotte Smith (North Carolina '99) is in her fifth year with the Phoenix and is 82-65 all-time. Smith previously served nine seasons as an assistant coach at her alma mater. She has also played professionally overseas and in the ABL and WNBA.
