Blue Hen Freshman Adam Rapp Named CAA Baseball Co-Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. -- University of Delaware freshman catcher Adam Rapp was named the Colonial Athletic Association Baseball Co-Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Rapp (Burlington, N.J./Northern Burlington) batted .429 with a double, home run, two runs scored and four RBI while appearing in a pair of games over the weekend at the ODU Tournament.
He had a key two-run double in the eighth inning as Delaware defeated Virginia Tech, 7-6, on Friday and went 2 for 3 with a two-run homer in the Blue Hens' 10-4 loss to the host Monarchs on Sunday.
Rapp, who has appeared in four games with a pair of starts during the year, is currently batting .333 on the season. He shared CAA Rookie of the Week honors with Elon pitcher Mason Daniels.
Delaware, which defeated Maryland, 12-7, on Tuesday in its home opener, remains home this weekend to host the Bob Hannah Invitational on Saturday through Sunday.
