Win Streak Snapped as Women’s Tennis Drops 4-1 Match at ODU

NORFOLK, Va. – The Blue Hens had their six-game winning streak snapped Wednesday afternoon with their 4-1 loss at Old Dominion.
Sara Komer (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) continued to roll, however, as the sophomore posted her 13th straight triumph. Komer routed Eliska Petrackova, 6-0, 6-1, in No. 2 singles action to move to 17-8 on the year and 13-0 in dual match play.
Delaware (8-5) opened the day by picking up the first doubles victory of the afternoon. Komer paired with classmate Sarah Hall (West Orange, N.J./Mount Saint Dominic Academy) for the 6-2 decision over Borislava Botusharov and Marijana Novakovic in the second flight. ODU followed with wins in the first and third spots for the team doubles point.
