Delaware Athletics Enjoys Another Successful Downstate Day at Cape Henlopen HS

“It's always about connecting with people and building relationships and this was a great opportunity for not only myself but for our student-athletes and all of UD Athletics to connect with our fan-base here in southern Delaware,” Rocco said. “It was exciting to see so many enthusiastic kids running around and having fun and to see our student-athletes working with youngsters who look up to them. I saw a lot of friendly faces coming into the stadium and had the chance to meet a lot of new people today. It was a great event.”
Blue Hen fans should also mark their calendars for the annual Fandemonium VIII celebration that will be held on Saturday, May 6, as part of the annual football Blue-White Spring Scrimmage at Delaware Stadium. Admission and parking are free.
This action-packed day with Blue Hens Athletics & Recreation includes the Anchor Buick GMC Fan Zone with live music, food, free pony rides for kids, inflatables, face painting, games and more.
Delaware will also be hosting its fifth annual Select-Your-Seat Event. Patrons looking to purchase new season tickets, along with current season ticket holders looking for additional upgrades, relocations or wishing to add additional seats, will be able to do so beginning at 4 p.m. inside of Delaware Stadium.
Fandemonium, held on the UD athletics grounds in front of Delaware Stadium, will get underway at 4 p.m. and run through 7 p.m. The Delaware Blue-White Spring Game will get underway at 6 p.m.
