Blue Hens Continue Climb Up National Polls

NEWARK, Del. - On the heels of its fourth straight victory and second in the past three weeks over a top-10 ranked opponent, the University of Delaware football team continue its ascent up the national polls.
After the Blue Hens 40-36 victory over 10th-ranked Towson this past Saturday, the Blue Hens climbed to #13 in the STATS FCS poll and #16 in the AFCA Coaches poll.
It's the highest that Delaware has been ranked since September of 2012. It's also the first time since 2012 that the Blue Hens have appeared in national polls three consecutive weeks.
"It's a nice recognition, but in the end, it doesn't get us closer to our ultimate goal," junior Pat Kehoe said. "We're not satisfied and we have to continue to prepare and play that way as we enter the final three weeks of the season. Each week in this league is a challenge, you've seen that in the scores this fall. We have to stay focused and locked in on the task at hand, which this week is Albany."
The Blue Hens will now travel to Albany on Saturday for the first of two straight road games. Game time in Albany is set for 3:30 p.m.
