Hens Capture 5-2 Victory at Towson

TOWSON, Md. – The Blue Hens captured their sixth straight win Wednesday afternoon by topping Towson, 5-2, at the Towson Center Courts.
Delaware (11-5, 3-1 CAA) claimed all three doubles matches versus the Tigers (11-10, 1-4 CAA) for the fifth time this season.
Sophomore Brooke Pilkington (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate) led off with her sixth consecutive top-flight victory by cruising to the 6-0, 6-0 decision over Nicole Shakhnazarova to become the first Blue Hen this season to reach the 20-win mark.
Freshman Sarah Whited (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox) followed with her fourth straight win, a 6-2, 6-1 victory against Lucy Gloninger in No. 6 singles.
In the second spot, junior co-captain Sara Komer (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) notched her team-best ninth consecutive win with a 6-3, 6-4 decision versus Lucy Williams to clinch the victory for the Hens.
Junior Sarah Hall (West Orange, N.J./Mount Saint Dominic Academy) came-from-behind to add the 5-7, 6-1, 10-4 victory over Renate van Oorschodt.
