Jones and Verma Successful on Day 1 of Navy Joe Hunt Invite

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Sophomore Justice Jones and junior Curran Verma had successful showings in their season debut Friday as part of the Navy Joe Hunt Invitational.
Jones captured his first career victory by defeating St. Bonaventure's Logan D'Angelo, 6-1, 6-1, in Flight D. He is slated to face George Washington's Michael Barsky Saturday in quarterfinals action.
In Flight C, Verma topped Connecticut's Jack McLister, 6-3, 6-4, for his first win of the year. He advances to Saturday's quarterfinals match against St. Bonaventure's Lukas Malmberg.
The duo also paired for a 7-6 (5) decision over Malmberg and Martin Estevarena in Flight C doubles.
