ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Junior Curran Verma placed third in Flight C singles this weekend as the Blue Hens completed play at the Navy Joe Hunt Invitational.
Verma opened play Saturday with a 6-3, 6-4 win over St. Bonaventure's Lukas Malmberg before falling in semifinals play. He then topped Richmond's Joseph Nardini, 6-1, 2-6, 10-8 to claim third place on Sunday.
Sophomore Justice Jones posted hard-fought battles against Matt Ghering (Air Force) and Lawrence Sciglitano (George Washington), but came up short in the Flight D matches.
