Blue Hens Crash the Boards in 57-47 Victory Against Hofstra

NEWARK, Del. – It wasn't pretty, but the Blue Hens came out on the right side of a 57-47 decision against Hofstra Sunday afternoon at the Bob Carpenter Center.
Delaware (12-12, 7-5 CAA) finished the game by outrebounding the Pride, 60-37, and in the process set a team record for most UD rebounds at the Bob Carpenter Center.
The Hens also saw three players with double-figure rebounding efforts with sophomore Lizzie Oleary leading the way with a career-high 11 boards.
Junior Samone DeFreese added her third double double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds while classmate Rebecca Lawrence collected 10 rebounds of her own.
