Blue Hens Sweep Local Foes Goldey-Beacom and Wilmington
3/23/2019 11:38:00 PM | Women's Tennis
WILMINGTON, Del. – Delaware took on local foes Goldey-Beacom and Wilmington Saturday at Delcastle Tennis Center and came out on top of both matches.
The Hens opened the day with the 7-0 victory over the Lightning before posting the same score against the Wildcats in the evening.
Despite their proximity in the First State, Saturday's matches were just the second-ever between Delaware and Goldey-Beacom and first-ever for the UD and Wilmington. Delaware previously defeated GBC, 7-0, in 2011.
With the successful showing, the Blue Hens have won four straight and improve their season record to 7-9 overall.

Every member of our team contributed today and I believe we are setting ourselves up well to finish the regular season strong and with confidence."
