Blue Hens to Face College of Charleston in Upcoming CAA Tournament

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Delaware women's tennis squad learned its fate Monday for the upcoming Colonial Athletic Association Championship, which will be held April 17-20 at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center on the campus of Elon University.
The sixth-seeded Blue Hens will play at 1 p.m. Thursday against third-seeded College of Charleston in a rematch of last season's quarterfinals matchup.
Should the Hens advance, UD will face either No. 2 James Madison or No. 7 Towson at 2 p.m. Friday. The winner moves on to Saturday's 10 a.m. championship match.
Delaware concluded regular season play with an overall record of 11-10 while going 1-2 in conference play. The Blue Hens finished the regular season with double-figure wins for the third straight season.
Admission is free to all four days of the tournament, with the champion earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. For more information, log on the Tennis Championship page on CAASports.com.
