ELON, N.C. – The Blue Hens saw their season come to a close Thursday afternoon as sixth-seeded Delaware fell to third-seeded College of Charleston, 4-0, in the CAA Quarterfinals at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.
The Hens put up fight, but the Cougars picked up the team doubles point with wins in the first and third spots.
The story was much the same in singles play as Delaware battled, but in the end, Charleston was too much and posted victories in the fifth, first and third flights to advance to Friday's semifinals round.
