Delaware Opens Season at Christopher Newport Invitational

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Blue Hens kicked off the 2019-20 campaign Saturday with competition at the Christopher Newport Invitational.
In doubles competition, picked up victories against opponents from CNU and North Carolina Wesleyan. Justice Jones and Milo Nagle paired for the 8-5 decision over CNU's Scotty Hunter and Alec Strause in Group A play while Dominick Perez and Luis Marcano topped NCWC's Ingmar Remmerswaal and Max Robinson, 9-2, in Group B.
Nagle and Marcano also picked up wins in singles play versus Hampton and Christopher Newport.
In Group C singles, Nagle defeated Hampton's Basil Post, 6-2, 6-2, while Marcano pulled out the 7-6 (7), 7-6 (5) victory over CNU's Mason Kolls in Group D.
