Delaware Opens Spring Slate with 5-2 Victory Over Morgan State

WILMINGTON, Del. – The Blue Hens kicked off the spring portion of their schedule Sunday with a 5-2 win over Morgan State at the Delcastle Tennis Center.
The Bears opened the evening by picking up the team doubles point, but Delaware quickly responded by posting four straight singles victories.
Eliza Askarova led off with a dominating 6-0, 6-0 win over Dana Santiago in top-flight singles before Caragh Courtney topped Asmara Rose, 6-2, 6-1, in the second spot.
In No. 4 singles, Sarah Whited collected the 6-2, 6-1 victory against Stefania Moyisadi.
Isabella Montana clinched the match in No. 3 singles by defeating Averiana Mitchell, 6-3, 6-4 while Viva Laas rounded out the day with a 6-2, 6-1 win versus Anabel Torrente in the fifth flight.
