Jasmine Dickey Named To Preseason All-CAA First Team

RICHMOND, Va. – Delaware women's basketball junior guard Jasmine Dickey was selected for the Preseason All-Colonial Athletic Association First Team, the conference announced Thursday morning.
Dickey enjoyed a breakout season in 2019-20, earning Second Team All-CAA and CAA All-Defensive Team honors. The Baltimore native averaged a team-high 9.2 rebounds per game, the second-best mark in the CAA. She is the Blue Hens' top returning scorer, averaging 12.4 points per game last season, good for 13th in the conference.
Dickey led the CAA with 13 double-doubles last year while adding a team-high 51 steals, plus 55 assists and 16 blocks. The athletic guard was a CAA All-Rookie selection in 2018-19 after averaging 7.9 points and 8.3 boards per game.
Delaware was picked to finish sixth in a poll of the league's head coaches, with defending co-regular season champion James Madison the favorite to win the conference title. Dickey was joined on the Preseason All-CAA First Team by Northeastern's Alexis Hill, JMU's Kiki Jefferson, Towson's Kionna Jeter, and Drexel's Keishana Washington. Jeter was named CAA Preseason Player of the Year.
