McBride Named CAA Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – The Colonial Athletic Association announced Monday that Delaware women's basketball junior guard Paris McBride is the CAA Player of the Week.
McBride's career night led the Blue Hens to an 85-79 win at Pittsburgh Sunday night, the program's first win over an ACC team since 2013. The Woodbridge, Va., product scored a career-high 29 points on a red-hot 9-of-14 shooting from the field, including 4-of-8 from 3-point range, and knocked down all seven of her free throw attempts. She also added four assists, two rebounds and a steal.
This is the first CAA weekly award of McBride's career, and the first of the season for the Blue Hens.
Delaware is 2-0 after Sunday's big win and returns to the court on Thursday, Dec. 10 when it hosts St. John's inside the Bob Carpenter Center at 2 p.m.
