NEWARK, Del. – This spring, the University of Delaware's incoming football recruiting class was ranked third in all of FCS, the highest-ever in program history.
That group just got another big addition.
Freshman All-American OL James Prince III (6-4, 295) officially signed on to join the Blue Hens this upcoming fall. He comes to Newark after starting all 12 games at Howard last season.
"We're excited to add James to this year's incoming class. He is a tremendous young man from a great family and is a great addition to a class that we believe is filled with high character student-athletes and immediate impact football players," Head Coach Danny Rocco said. "We have been tracking James since his high school days at Archbishop Stepinac and when he decided to leave Howard, we knew he would be a high-quality addition to young, but talented offensive line group."
Prince, who's older brother Deuce is on the football team at The Citadel and his father, Ron, was the head coach at both Howard and Kansas State, had an All-Conference and All-Region career at Archbishop Stepinac, where he helped the Crusaders pile up over 5,000 yards of total offense during his senior season.
This past year at Howard, he earned Phil Steele and HERO FCS Freshman All-American accolades.
