Dickey Tabbed As #CAAHoops Player Of The Week

RICHMOND, VA. – For the second-straight week, the University of Delaware women's basketball junior guard/forward Jasmine Dickey was recognized as the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Week for games played November 22-28, announced Monday afternoon.
In Delaware's 2-0 week, Dickey averaged 35.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 46.8 percent (29-of-62) from the field and 75 percent (12-of-16) from the free-throw line. Dickey opened the week at the FIU Thanksgiving Classic against Eastern Michigan (Nov. 26) with a career-best 48 points (19-of-36 FG, 9-of-12 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in Delaware's 87-72 win. With her 48-point performance, Dickey is second in program history in points scored in a single game, eclipsing Elena Delle Donne's 42 points scored at Hofstra back on Feb. 16, 2012. Dickey's career afternoon landed her a spot on ESPN Sportcenter Top 10 plays as the Bonus #1 play. Dickey then closed out the Classic against Chicago State (Nov. 27) with 23 points (game-high) and 10 rebounds to post her third double-double on the season in the Blue Hens' 72-63 win. She added three assists, two steals and a block to her stat line to help Delaware extend their winning streak to five games.
On the season, the Baltimore, Md. native is averaging 28.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 44.3 percent (77-of-174) from the field, 36.8 percent (7-of-19) and 79.6 percent (39-of-49) from the charity stripe. Dickey leads the conference in points per game and total points (200) while ranking among the league leaders in total rebounds (3rd, 59), offensive rebounds (3rd, 24), rebounds per game (4th), minutes (4th, 35.3), defensive rebounds (t-4th, 35), blocked shots per game (t-4th), steals (t-4th, 13), blocked shots (5th, 7), offensive rebounds per game (5th, 3.4), free-throw percentage (5th), steals per game (6th), field goal percentage (7th) and defensive rebounds per game (t-8th, 5.0). Dickey leads the nation in points per game.
