Jasmine Dickey Earns CAA Player Of The Week Honors

Dickey named Player of the Week for the fourth time this season
RICHMOND, Va. – For the fourth time this season, Delaware junior guard Jasmine Dickey earned Colonial Athletic Association Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors on Monday.
Dickey had a massive weekend as the Blue Hens swept a home series against Towson with a pair of emphatic wins, clinching the CAA Regular Season Championship. The junior guard averaged 29.5 points, 14.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 0.5 blocks across the two games.
In Saturday's win, she tied a career high with 18 rebounds, while guarding and limiting the CAA's leading scorer, Kionna Jeter (23.4 ppg entering the weekend), to just 17 points. On Sunday, Dickey recorded her seventh double-double and fifth 30-point game of the season, closing out a perfect 11-0 home record for the Blue Hens.
Three different Blue Hens (Dickey, Paris McBride, Ty Battle) have earned CAA Player of the Week honors this season for a total of six recognitions, with both marks leading the conference.
With their first regular season championship since 2012-13, the Blue Hens have also clinched the No. 1 seed for the CAA Tournament from March 10-13 in Elon, N.C. Delaware will face the winner of the No. 8/No. 9 game in the quarterfinals at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 11.
