Delaware to Increase Attendance for Spring Sports

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware has announced updated attendance policies for the 2021 spring athletic seasons for all varsity sports.

Starting March 13, Delaware football season ticket members who purchased tickets can begin attending games inside Delaware Stadium. Students will also be able to attend and capacity will be limited to 10% for this game. Updates will be shared as they are available for future games. Advance sales have been ongoing and no in-person, day-of-game sales will be available. All ticket purchasers will receive an email with health & safety instructions and protocols.

Additionally, beginning March 20, the general public can attend Delaware men's and women's lacrosse games at Delaware Stadium with a maximum capacity of 1,000 people. Ticket sales will begin March 15 and similar to football, purchasing is only available through advance sales and no in-person, day-of-game sales will be available.

The limited capacity is to allow proper distancing between all guests and masks covering the nose and mouth are required for the duration of your stay on the UD campus and in Delaware Stadium.

Attendance policies were developed by UD Athletics and the University's Health Advisory Committee, in conjunction with the state of Delaware. Capacity numbers in our other venues limit the number of outside spectators, resulting in only Delaware student-athlete and coach invited guests, a small number of Delaware students or no spectators in those venues.
