Women's Basketball To Face Fordham In WNIT First Round

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Delaware women's basketball will face Fordham Friday, March 19 at 11 a.m. in Charlotte, N.C., in the first round of the 2021 Postseason WNIT.

The Blue Hens (21-4) earned an automatic bid to the tournament after winning the Colonial Athletic Association Regular Season Championship, Delaware's first since 2012-13.

Delaware is playing in the Charlotte Region, and the winner of Friday's game will face the winner of Clemson vs. Ohio in the second round at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 20. The Region Final will be Monday, March 22 at 7 p.m. The region will also have a four-team consolation bracket.

Each of the four regional winners will advance to the semifinals in Memphis, Tenn., on Friday, March 26. The championship game will be played at the same site on Sunday, March 28.
