Eliza Askarova and Tayo Adetunji Named CAA Women’s Doubles Team of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Sophomore Eliza Askarova and junior Tayo Adetunji were named Colonial Athletic Association Doubles Team of the Week on Wednesday.
Askarova and Adetunji received CAA Women's Doubles Team of the Week honors following a 6-4 triumph over Nicole Krykanov and Josie Schaffer at No. 1 doubles as Delaware swept past Davidson, 7-0. It was their first match as a team this season, but Adetunji stayed unbeaten in doubles at 4-0, while Askarova improved to 3-1. Askarova also won her match at No. 1 singles against Schaffer, 6-4, 7-5. The Blue Hens are off to a 4-0 start as a team.
The Delaware women's tennis team will return to action against St. Joseph's University on April 6th at the Delaware Field House Outdoor Courts.
