Delaware to Expand Attendance for Home Football
3/27/2021 9:00:00 AM | Football
NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware has announced its plans for 23% capacity, approximately 4,100 guests, inside Delaware Stadium for the final scheduled regular-season home football game on April 3. This increase in capacity will be dependent on state approval next week.
Up from 10%, the 23% capacity expansion is only for home football and other varsity sports attendance policies will remain the same and can be found in this chart.
Available tickets will go on sale for the general public Monday, March 29 at 10 a.m. University of Delaware students will also be able to reserve tickets through the student ticket portal beginning Tuesday, March 30 at 10 a.m. No in-person, day-of-game ticket sales will be available. All ticket purchasers will receive an email with health & safety instructions and protocols.
Extra gates and a scheduled entry format will be used to help reduce congestion and physical distancing at the gates. Information regarding entrance gates and scheduled entrance times will be communicated directly with ticket purchasers.
Masks covering the nose and mouth are required for the duration of your stay on the UD campus and in Delaware Stadium. Additional fan gameday health and safety protocols can be found here.
Attendance policies were developed by UD Athletics and the University's Health Advisory Committee, in conjunction with the state of Delaware. Capacity numbers in our other venues limit the number of outside spectators, resulting in only Delaware student-athlete and coach invited guests, a small number of Delaware students or no spectators in those venues.
These updated attendance policies are subject to change based upon covid-19 health & safety measures.
