Blue Hens Women’s Tennis Picks Up Five All-CAA Awards

RICHMOND, Va. – The Colonial Athletic Association announced the All-CAA Women's Tennis awards on Tuesday morning, and the Delaware women's tennis team was represented in five different categories.
Sophomore, Eliza Askarova, was named to the All-CAA First team after going undefeated in conference play (3-0) and having only one loss on the season for a season record of 7-1.
Askarova and her doubles partner, Sarah Whited, were named to the All-CAA First Team Doubles following their 5-1 season. The No. 1 doubles team was also undefeated in conference play.
Sophomore Jojo Bach was awarded All-CAA Second Team. Bach was solid at the No. 2 court all season with a 6-2 season record and a 2-1 record in conference play.
Bach and her doubles partner, Isabella Montana, received All-CAA Second Team Doubles honors due to their undefeated season at No. 2 doubles. Bach and Montana were 7-0 on the season at the No. 2 court.
Montana was also named to the All-CAA Third Team following her strong season performance at the No. 3 court. Montana finished the season with a 5-3 overall record.
The Blue Hens went undefeated in the regular season (7-0) for the first time since 1997 and finished their run in the first round of the CAA Tournament against the College of Charleston.
