High Index Senior and Athletics Marketing Intern, Alexis Garhart

I was so happy to hear that all of my years of hard work had paid off. It was absolutely an honor to be able to get such a high academic achievement while also working for the University of Delaware Athletics Department. It was really a culmination of everything that I love to do. It was a great feeling!

I loved working all four years. My favorite part was absolutely the people. It was so much fun coming to work every day. We really made an impact on campus and the alumni community and to Blue Hens all over the world. I had fun and was so happy that I was able to make an impact.

I would suggest working in athletics because it’s such a great place for personal and professional growth. There are so many opportunities to explore what it is you want to do.

I am currently pursuing a career in the sports marketing industry. Hopefully, I can find a job with a professional team or somewhere in marketing where I can do something similar that I was doing at UD.
