2021-22 CAA Conference Schedule
RICHMOND, Va. – The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) released its 2021-22 women's basketball conference slate on Wednesday.
Delaware, the defending regular season champions, will begin CAA play on Friday, December 31 versus James Madison. Additional home CAA contest dates this season are Towson (Jan. 2), Hofstra (Jan. 14), Northeastern (Jan. 16), College of Charleston (Feb. 4), UNCW (Feb. 6), Drexel (Feb. 20), Elon (Feb. 25), and William and Mary (Feb. 27).
The season is set to conclude on Sunday, March 5. The 2022 CAA Women's Basketball Championship presented by Primis is scheduled for March 9-12 at the Atlantic Union Bank Center on the campus of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va.
Reigning CAA Player of the Year, Jasmine Dickey and CAA Coach of the Year Natasha Adair are back for the Blue Hens after a 16-2 conference record a year ago. Delaware won its first CAA title since
2012-13, as the Blue Hens defended home court with a 9-0 mark.
The schedule returns to a traditional home-and-home, round-robin format featuring 18 conference games after last season was modified to accommodate the challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Teams will compete in a Friday/Sunday format featuring back-to-back games at home or on the road. During the two weeks in which a team faces their travel partner, both teams will have a bye on Friday before playing on Sunday.
Season ticket, partial plans and individual game tickets will go on sale August 30th. Fans can get early access to reserve seats by placing a deposit on season or individual tickets now.
