UD Football Ranked #6 in HERO Sports Preseason FCS Poll

NEWARK, Del. – With its eyes set on the 2021 fall season, the Delaware Blue Hens were ranked No. 6 in the HERO Sports' preseason Top 25 poll which was released on Thursday.
It's the second top-10 ranking for reigning Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Coach of the Year Danny Rocco and the Blue Hens this summer as Delaware ranked No. 5 in the Athlon Sports' Preseason FCS Top-25.
The Blue Hens, who open the season at CAA foe Maine on Thursday, Sept. 2, were 7-1 last season advancing to the semifinals of the FCS Playoffs. Delaware posted a perfect 4-0 conference record to earn the CAA championship. Full capacity in the fall was announced last week for Delaware Stadium, as the Blue Hens host Saint Francis on Saturday, Sept. 11.
