2021 Fall Women’s Soccer Schedule Announced

Newark, Del. – We're one month away from fall soccer, and what a great feeling it will be to step onto the field this upcoming semester. After competing in the spring, Delaware women's soccer will return to Stuart and Suzanne Grant Stadium in August to kick off its 20th season of play.
Guided by fourth-year head coach Mike Barroqueiro, the Blue Hens return 11 starters from the spring and a pair of all-conference honorees in Sara D'Appolonia and Lauren Krinsky.
"After what has been a crazy year and a half, I can't put into words how excited everyone is to get back together for a much more conventional experience this fall!," Barroqueiro said. "As always, we've tried to construct a non-conference slate that we feel will properly prepare us for the rigors of CAA play. Week in and week out, our young group will test themselves against some of the best competition in the region and that experience will be vital as the season progresses."
Non-Conference Matchups
The Blue Hens will play at Georgetown on Aug. 11 and then host Rhode Island on Aug. 14 in a pair of exhibitions. The season officially kicks off on Thursday, Aug. 19, when Delaware welcomes George Mason, followed by a game versus Villanova at home two days later.
A total of nine non-conference matchups are on the schedule with the Blue Hens hosting Seton Hall (Aug. 29), St. Johns (Sept. 9), and Princeton (Sept. 19). Non-conference away matches this fall include Monmouth (Aug. 26), UMBC (Sept. 2), Liberty (Sept. 5), and Loyola (Sept. 12).
Colonial Athletic Association Matchups
Blue Hens host Northeastern on Sunday, Sept. 26, in its CAA opener. Other CAA home matchups include Charleston (Oct. 10), Towson (Oct. 21), and William & Mary (Oct. 28).
The Blue Hens will play on the road at Elon (Oct. 3), Hofstra (Oct. 7), Drexel (Oct. 17), UNCW (Oct. 24), and will close out regular season play at James Madison (Oct. 31).
The 2021 CAA Tournament, hosted by Elon, is scheduled to begin on Nov. 4. The CAA championship match is set for Nov. 7.
