Newark, Delaware should be officially known as the HeNFL don't you think? The Delaware football program has six alums on active rosters in the National Football League (NFL) – the second-most in the FCS, behind North Dakota State's nine active players.
From all-conference honorees to Super Bowl Champions to general managers, our former Blue Hens are succeeding in different ways in the NFL.
Joe Flacco, Philadelphia Eagles, Quarterback: 14th season…Flacco has started 175 of 176 career games…Completed 3,744 passes for 40,931 yards for 224 touchdowns…Registered 16 rushing touchdowns with a Super Bowl XLVII nod.
Zack Kerr, San Francisco 49ers, Defensive Line: Eighth season…Kerr has appeared in 89 career games with 16 starts…Appeared in one game so far this season…80 career solo tackles, 80 career assisted tackles, 9.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and seven passes defended.
Nick Boyle, Baltimore Ravens, Tight End: Seventh season…Currently on the short-term injured reserve list…Boyle has appeared in 73 career games with 50 starts…Has caught 120 receptions for 1,047 receiving yards with four touchdowns.
Bilal Nichols, Chicago Bears, Defensive Line: Fourth season…Nichols has appeared in 45 career games with 36 starts…Has started both games this season for the Bears…In two games has registered five tackles (3 solo, 2 assisted) and one sack…For his career, Nichols has 98 tackles, nine sacks, four passes defended, and two forced fumbles.
Nasir Adderley, L.A. Chargers, Safety: Third season…Has started 16 of 21 career games and has started 2 of 2 games this season…In two games, Adderley has recorded 12 tackles (11 solo, 1 assisted)…Averaging 17.5 yard on kickoff returns…Has 81 career tackles and four passes defended…13 kick returns for an average of 27.2 yards per return.
Troy Reeder, L.A. Rams, Linebacker: Third season…Reeder has started 15 of 34 games in his career…Has appeared in both games of 2021 for the Rams…Has four tackles (3 solo, 1 assisted) so far this season…For his career, Reeder has 132 tackles, three sacks, four passes defended, one interception and two forced fumbles.

Brett Veach has been the general manager of the Kansas City Chiefs since 2017. Matt Nagy was named the head coach of the Chicago Bears in 2018. Brian Ginn is in his second season with the Chicago Bears as the assistant special teams coach. Mike Adams is in his first season as the assistant defensive backs coach after a 16-year playing career. Joe Bleymaier is in his first season as the wide receivers coach for Kansas City Chiefs. Patrick Callaway is a well-known scout for the Tennessee Titans, while Danny Leddy is an operations assistant for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
