Field Hockey Preview: CAA Tournament

NEWARK, Del. – Two-seed Delaware field hockey is set to compete in the Colonial Athletic Association's tournament against three-seed Northeastern on Friday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m at Rullo Stadium.
The winner of Friday's game plays the winner of one-seed Monmouth and four-seed Drexel for the CAA Tournament Championship and an automatic spot in the NCAA Tournament.

After dropping its first conference match of the season, the Blue Hens finished conference play with five straight wins to clinch a share of the CAA Regular Season Championship and the two seed.
The Blue Hens earned six conference accolades. Julia Duffhuis notched her second straight CAA Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-CAA accolades. Berber Bakermans and Ashlyn Carr received First Team All-CAA honors. Noelle Sabbagh and Lia Becker earned All-Rookie Team honors.
Delaware is looking to win its fourth straight CAA Tournament Championship. It would be the program's 10th all-time CAA Tournament Championship, and eighth over the last nine seasons.
The last time the Blue Hens and Huskies played was back on Friday, Oct. 21 in a thrilling 3-2 shootout victory for the Blue Hens. UD has won 12 straight matches against the Huskies.
The Huskies and Blue Hens faced off in the CAA Tournament Championship game back on Nov. 10, 2019. The Blue Hens defeated the Huskies 2-1.
