Field Hockey to play Lehigh in Opening Round of NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS – Delaware field hockey will play Lehigh in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday, November 9 at 2 p.m. at Karen Shelton Stadium in Chapel Hill, N.C. at the University of North Carolina.
The winner of the first round plays top-seed North Carolina on Friday, Nov. 11.
The Blue Hens (9-11) earned their fourth-straight CAA Championship title after defeating Drexel, 6-1, Sunday afternoon. Senior Ashlyn Carr was named the CAA Tournament Most Outstanding Performer and was joined by teammates Julia Duffhuis, Grace Hoepfner, and Kiki Oudshoorn on the All-Tournament Team.
Lehigh finished the season 13-7 overall and defeated Boston 2-1 in OT in the Patriot League Championship.
The NCAA field hockey tournament consists of 18 teams. The final four and championship games take place on November 18-20 at UConn.
