Dickey Tabbed as AP All-American Honorable Mention

NEW YORK – The University of Delaware women's basketball guard/forward Jasmine Dickey was tabbed as an All-American Honorable Mention from the Associated Press, announced Wednesday afternoon (Mar. 16)
Just this past Sunday, Mar. 13, Dickey led Delaware to its third CAA Championship Title and received CAA Tournament Most Outstanding Performer honors after averaging a double-double, 26.0 points and 14.7 rebounds per contest, highlighted by a 27-point, 18-rebound performance in the title game.
The Baltimore, Md. native has led the nation in points per game for seven-straight weeks (Nov. 29-Jan. 10) and currently ranks third in the NCAA with 25.1 points per game. Heading into the upcoming 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament, she is also averaging 10.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 40.3 percent (272-of-675) from the field and 80.7 percent (184-of-228) from the free throw line.
Dickey has scored in double figures 29 of her 30 appearances, including posting one 50-plus, one 40-plus and five 30-plus point game (three consecutive) performances. Tallying a career-best 18 double-doubles on the season, Dickey produced one of the most impressive double-doubles in college basketball this season, setting career-highs with 52 points and 18 rebounds on Feb. 4.
Dickey is the second player in Delaware program history to college All-American recognition, joining former Blue Hen Elena Delle Donne. She also became the first player since Delle Donne in 2012 and 2013 to earn back-to-back CAA Player of the Year honors.
