Delaware Ranked No. 73 in Latest ITA Collegiate Poll

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware women's tennis team earned its third-straight appearances in the ITA Collegiate Tennis Division I Women's Team Rankings on Wednesday as the Blue Hens came in at No. 73 of the nation's top-75 programs.
The Blue & Gold currently sit at 8-2 on the season in dual matches after a pair of road victories this past weekend at Duquesne and Big 12-foe West Virginia. Delaware came away with a resounding sweep of the Dukes on Saturday in Pittsburgh, winning all three doubles matches and each of the first three singles matches for a 4-0 victory. In a quick turnaround on Sunday morning, the Blue Hens defeated the Mountaineers 4-3 with a hard-fought victory.
This is the third-consecutive week that UD has been ranked in the top 75 after first appearing at No. 63 on February 24. The Blue Hens slipped to No. 74 last week after a loss at then-No. 52 VCU and then moved up one spot after their two wins this past weekend.
Delaware will host Hofstra for its first CAA match of the season on Friday afternoon at Delcastle Tennis Center. The Blue Hens will then take on Georgetown on Sunday afternoon at DuPont Country Club.
