Videoboards Delayed Until After Fall Season

NEWARK, Del. – Delaware Athletics announced in January 2022 that new digital displays, in partnership with Daktronics, would be installed in 2022 in advance of the fall seasons at Delaware Stadium and Grant Stadium. New video boards are part of the ongoing initiative to improve the experiences of our students, fans and the events that take place in these venues.
Daktronics and the University of Delaware were both confident that the new screens would be up and running for the impending season. However, this is a unique time for us all, and manufacturers are experiencing unusual challenges. Because of unexpected and unavoidable delivery disruptions, the new screens at Delaware and Grant Stadiums will, instead, be installed after the fall season. The University of Delaware will continue this season with the existing equipment and plan to finish construction on the new video boards as soon as possible.
While this is unfortunate, our focus remains delivering the highest quality, most memorable experience possible to everyone who attends a University of Delaware event. We are committed to bringing state-of-the-art technology to campus and are excited for the impact it will have at all events for years to come. We appreciate the patience and understanding of all stakeholders.
