Blue Hens Radio Coaches Show Dates & Locations Announced

NEWARK, Del. – The Martuscelli Restaurant Group, including Klondike Kate's Restaurant & Saloon and La Casa Pasta Restaurant, has announced a commitment to extend its partnership with University of Delaware Athletics and iHeartMedia to host Blue Hens radio coaches shows through the 2024-25 season.
For the 16th season, The Dawson Room on the second floor of Klondike Kate's will serve as the host of weekly coaches radio shows throughout the football and basketball seasons. In addition, this season will add select dates at La Casa Pasta, an award-winning restaurant located in Newark since 1978.
"We are extremely proud and honored to continue our relationship with such a great University and athletics program," said Gianmarco Martuscelli, president of the Martuscelli Restaurant Group that also includes the Chesapeake Inn Restaurant and Marina in Chesapeake City, Md. "Klondike Kate's has long been considered the Heart of Main Street and partnering with UD Athletics has been a home run for us. Being able to add our sister restaurant this year was a no-brainer and further enhances what was already a great bond with both Delaware Athletics and iHeartMedia. La Casa Pasta has been a staple of Newark since 1978 and a long-time favorite to so many Blue Hens faithful after games. We are excited that it can now be a stop for them at the Coaches Shows, as well."
The first show, featuring Delaware's new head football coach, Ryan Carty, and "Voice of the Blue Hens" Scott Klatzkin, will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. and will continue each Wednesday evening throughout the season. Each one-hour show is open to all fans and can also be heard on 94.7 WDSD-FM and the iHeartRadio app where the audio will also be available for podcast download.

The Blue Hens will open the 2022 season and the Ryan Carty era on Saturday, September 3 at Navy. UD will play the first of six home games the following weekend when they host Delaware State to renew the Route 1 Rivalry on September 10. Kickoff at Delaware Stadium is set for 6 p.m.
Single-game tickets, as well as partial plans and individual game parking, for all six of Delaware's home games are currently on sale.
