Sabbagh Awarded CAA Rookie of the Week

NEWARK, Del. – Delaware field hockey forward Noelle Sabbagh received the Colonial Athletic Association's rookie of the week award, the league announced on Monday.
Sabbagh is the first Blue Hen to receive conference rookie of the week honors since Julia Duffhuis did back in 2020. She is the fifth Blue Hen to ever receive the honor.
In her first two career starts, Sabbagh notched the first three goals of her collegiate career against two top-10 opponents. The freshman forward recorded two goals against No. 10 UConn. In the weekend finale against No. 8 Penn State, Sabbagh netted the game tying goal in the third quarter.
The Blue Hens have a pair of road matches this weekend against No. 17 Princeton on Friday, September 16 and No. 15 Rutgers on September 18.
