CUMBERLAND, R.I. – Delaware men's tennis (7-1) completed the weekend sweep with a 5-2 decision Sunday afternoon against Bryant (1-10). The win gives the Hens a perfect 2-0 weekend and marks their sixth-straight win.
"What a great weekend to improve our overall record to 7-1," Assistant Coach Nate Perrone said. "We are really playing matches well and moving in the right direction. After sweeping the doubles point pretty comfortably, Bryant really came at us in the singles. Our guys battled out some tough matches. The ones that lost were within a few points of getting it done."
Delaware swept doubles play to earn the first point of the match.
Three Blue Hens pulled out straight-set wins in singles action, while Luis Molina battled back from a second set loss. Both Daniel Krulig and Udayan Bhakar won with ease in the second and sixth spots, respectively, while William Wibmer showed poise with a tiebreaker win in the second set to claim the match.
