Nerpin Wins CAA Co-Men’s Golfer of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Delaware men's golfer Casper Nerpin was named CAA Co-Men's Golfer of the Week for his performance in the Bash at the Beach tournament, the league announced on Wednesday.
Casper Nerpin had an impressive showing, finishing the tournament at a minus-2 after rounds of 72-69-70 and finishing tied for ninth among all individual scorers. Nerpin recorded ten birdies and was the only Delaware player to notch an eagle.
On the par-71, 6,705-yard Surf Golf and Beach Club course, Nerpin's final two rounds saw the Stockholm native record six of his ten birdies and the lone eagle on hole 17 in the third round.
Nerpin and Matthew Doyle of Elon were named Co-Men's Golfers of the Week by the CAA. He is the first Blue Hens golfer to receive a weekly award from the conference this spring, and it is the freshman's second weekly award of the 2022-23 golf season.
The Blue Hens will return to the course for the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate beginning on Mar. 27.
