NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware Athletics, Community, and Campus Recreation is delighted to announce a refreshed look, enhanced amenities, and a state of the art security system ahead of the 2023 home football season.
All concession stands inside Delaware Stadium received a refreshed '302' themed upgrade to truly show the pride of being from the state of Delaware. Additionally, a new grab and go concessions location has been added for a smoother purchasing experience. This location will serve non-alcoholic beverages including soda, Gatorade, and water, snacks, and alcoholic beverages including beer and seltzer.
UDairy's Moo Mobile will also join the experience, providing fans with an opportunity to enjoy a frozen treat during the game. Desserts by Dana will also be available for fans to purchase an array of in-game sweets.
Also new this season, will be the addition of the Hen House. The Hen House will provide a spot for fans to tailgate in the hospitality village. Fans can enjoy a full buffet with a different menu each week, including a full service bar. Get your tickets here.
Blue Hens Hospitality Village will continue to provide a premium and convenient tailgate for groups of any size before each home game. The area is located in front of the Bob Carpenter Center and opens two hours prior to the game. Packages include a private tented area for groups including tables and chairs and access to the Hen House. Please click here if you are interested in reserving a tailgate package this season.
Delaware has also partnered with Evolv Technology, the leader in AI-based weapons detection security screening. Delaware Stadium and the Bob Carpenter Center will feature Evolv's state-of-the-art Evolv Express® screening solution beginning with the Hens' home opener on September 16, when they host St. Francis. Fans will be able to walk through the entrance gates without always having to stop to open bags or be checked individually as they enter the ballpark.
Evolv Express uses powerful sensor technology with artificial intelligence (AI) to provide safer, more accurate threat detection at unprecedented volume and speed. It allows security officials to tell the difference between threats and everyday items people carry in their pockets and bags. Delaware Stadium joins Citizens Bank Park, Lincoln Financial Field, and the Wells Fargo Center in this region to utilize Evolv.
Evolv is used at a growing number of facilities in all sports, including NFL stadiums like SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, as well as Major League Baseball's Fenway Park in Boston and Citi Field in New York.
